Talk to us about…

The elusive narwhal

Famous for its long, spiralling tusk, the narwhal is one of the Arctic’s most iconic whales. In the Canadian Arctic, these mysterious creatures can be seen in summer fjords and along the edges of the pack ice, often surfacing in small, tight-knit groups.

With patience, you might catch a glimpse of their mottled grey bodies, shy behaviour and, in the case of males, their distinctive single tusk – especially near the waters of Greenland and Baffin Island.
