The Global story
25 years of unforgettable journeys
In 2001, we set out to build the kind of travel company we wanted for ourselves – one where care, honesty and genuine connection come first. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2026, we’re still family-run, still relationship-led – and still just as excited about planning your next adventure as we were on day one.
Travel has changed a lot since we started, but what matters hasn’t: great service, real expertise and holidays that feel like they were made just for you. We don’t do one-size-fits-all. We listen, we learn and we dream with you.
From bucket-list escapes to quiet getaways,
every trip we create is crafted around your
tastes, your pace and your priorities.
We’re the people to call when you’ve got a new idea, or a milestone to celebrate. We’re the ones who remember what you loved last time – the ones who organise the itineraries so you can just turn up and be.
It’s our job to take the stress out of planning and replace it with confidence, comfort and a little bit of magic. Because holidays shouldn’t just be time away – they should restore you, inspire you and stay with you long after you’re home.
After 25 years, we still believe in two things: the world is full of wonder and travel is always better when it’s personal.
Where will your next trip take you?
About us
Isobel and her daughter Sarah have always been close, so working together felt like a natural extension of their relationship. Global began with Isobel, who led it with warmth, integrity and a clear sense of purpose, up until COVID.
From the outset, their values were simple and unwavering. They looked after people properly; they’d only sell holidays that they’d take family and friends on, too. They took the time to have real conversations and treated clients as people, not transactions. That approach built trust and loyalty and it’s why clients have stayed with them over many years.
During COVID, Isobel’s health challenges changed the pace of the business. While the world slowed down, the mission and values remained firmly in place. This was the point at which Sarah became more closely involved, making sure that everything they had built continued with the same care and attention.
As the world reopened, Isobel and Sarah decided it was time to grow. They expanded into Cheshire, bringing with them a different idea of travel shaped by years of first-hand experience staying in exceptional hotels like the Ritz and the Waldorf Astoria.
At the time, local travel options were fairly limited, with predictable destinations and a standard high street offer. Isobel and Sarah introduced something new: a sense of luxury that felt personal, thoughtful and accessible. Luxury, but local.
Their approach stood out. It wasn’t something people found in a typical travel agent and it quickly earned them a reputation for quality and care. Not because they chased trends or tried to be flashy, but because they genuinely cared about doing things well.
After everything COVID brought, the business reached another turning point. With renewed energy and plenty of ideas, Isobel and Sarah looked at what they had built and thought, why not see where this could go next? And that’s how they arrived at where they are today, with a third shop opening soon in Nantwich.
